TARA SCHOLARSHIP FUND
An important part of Tara’s philosophy is to be able to offer this educational experience to students who could not enroll without financial assistance. Being a young school without an endowment, this is an ongoing challenge. We work with each family, pooling their resources and ours, in an effort to meet tuition expenses. In order to keep our program funded, we are constantly seeking organizations and/or individuals who will underwrite our tuition assistance fund.
Tuition assistance is provided on a case-by-case basis. We ask that applying families submit a letter of need accompanied by the first two pages of their most recent US income tax return. A review of this information is often followed by a personal interview with the directors. Tuition assistance is provided on a first come, first served basis, with assistance distributed in September each year and reviewed in January. Our maximum assistance is 40% in an exceptional case. Most assistance is in the range of 10-30%.
