Curriculum:
Math - Algebra I
English - Literature, writing and grammar
Foreign Language - Spanish I or German I
Class Meeting - A signature piece of the Tara curriculum, this 1-hour-per-week discussion
focuses on values, goals, social dynamics and future plans, and is always conducted with
respect for classmates and the community at large. Class meeting will be facilitated by 2 faculty members.
Candlelight Christmas Choir Program - Preparing for 5 performances with a featured Mass, choral music and community carol singing.
Class Trip - At Tara, class trips provide outdoor challenges and/or cultural/historical immersion and are an important part of our program. For the transition year Deer Hill Expeditions, a well-respected outdoor education organization, will be contracted to provide
the trip. A Tara faculty member will accompany the group.
Class Play - Transition students will join the 9th grade in their production of a Commedia.
Rehearsals will be held from November 2nd to 19th; performances will be on November
20th – 22nd. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be provided
Denver Center Theatre - Tara students see 8-10 plays throughout the year.
