The campus is still being developed. During Work Week 2008, students, faculty and parents (led by alumni parent Kini Christie) laid a beautiful 1000+ sq. ft. lawn, planted a perennial garden and added a sand volleyball court. These projects were funded by generous donations from Tara parents and other supporters.
The next phase of our development will be a multi-purpose performance barn that opens to the central courtyard. This will become the main rehearsal space for our theatre and movement work. It will also contain a full basement for costume storage, dressing rooms, music rooms and a set shop.
Future plans include the building of a state-of-the-art science lab, large main lesson classrooms and a movement space. Together, the three buildings will define an outdoor courtyard, and will support all of Tara’s program needs.
